The History of the Hookstown Volunteer Fire Department



      The first official meeting for the purpose of organizing a fire department was held in the Hookstown Boro Building
on December 26, 1960. It was to be called the Hookstown Volunteer Fire Department. The idea of starting the Department was first discussed while at the Clinton Bowling Alley.



The first officers were:
